Quadrics Opens North American Office
European High-Speed Interconnect Leader Comes to Silicon Valley

Quadrics Ltd., the global leader in high speed interconnect for High Performance Computing (HPC) has announced the establishment of Quadrics Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quadrics Ltd, in North America, to be based in San Jose.

Quadrics Inc. has been established in the U.S. to support Quadrics in the most important market for HPC and to provide sales support services to Quadrics’ North American OEM partners and customers, the company said. The subsidiary will lead business development and marketing programs to promote Quadrics’ value proposition during the technology purchasing cycle. The technical staff of Quadrics Inc. will provide ”round-the-clock” support to U.S. customer base and the growing network of system integrators in designing, installing and supporting Quadrics cluster solutions, the company also noted.

The company chose San Jose to be close to the concentration of HPC end users and system integrators in the U.S. “We want to be closer to our customers and be ready to explain the benefits they can get by implementing a Quadrics solution,” commented Cristoforo Romanelli, Managing Director of Quadrics Ltd, and Chairman and CEO of the Quadrics Inc, “The creation of Quadrics Inc. is aligned with the Quadrics’ continual investment in R&D, in partnership with major Universities and laboratories, for Quadrics’ new lines of products”.
