Content Protection for Linux-Based E-mail Servers Announced
Vexira Antivirus for Linux E-mail, Spam and Spyware Protection Suite Released

Central Command has announced the immediate availability of "Vexira Antivirus for Mail server" with upgraded antivirus, antispam, and spyware protection. This new all inclusive e-mail security suite significantly increases the total content protection ability of Vexira on Linux-based e-mail servers.

Vexira Antivirus for Mail server is a content security application that provides scalable protection from viruses, spam, spyware and other malicious applications. It can directly integrate with many email systems or can act as its own SMTP relay server to shield the email server itself from attack. It is specifically developed for high volume and high reliability for email service providers and enterprises that require extended service and security levels along with best-of-breed technology.

Vexira Antivirus for Mail server is a worldwide leading enterprise-class Linux antivirus and antispam solution with more than 200 million mailboxes already under its protection in over 100 different countries.

Vexira provides protection in a single application framework to defend today's businesses and schools from attack. Five different checks are performed on email: File Gate, File Filter, Field Filter, Virus Filter and Spam Filter.

Vexira is built for organizations where email is a critical component to the operation. Vexira includes a purposefully developed "watchdog" to monitor the email operation and restart a failed service and send automatic alerts to system administrators. Several technologies are within Vexira to ensure the virus protection is fully functional at all times. Each user or domain owner can have specific configurations and rule sets. Vexira contains a scalable LDAP support. The software contains several embedded email defense features including DoS protection, blacklisting, Zip-of-Death protection, and mail-bomb protection.
