Chelsio Unified Wire Integrated with Oracle VM Server Virtualization
Chelsio 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) Adapters Deliver Enterprise-Class, Field-Proven Technology for Oracle VM Virtualization

Chelsio Communications announced its software drivers have been integrated in the latest release of Oracle VM server virtualization software. Chelsio has taken a high standing in connecting virtual servers to the converged data center network, enabling end users to more effectively utilize their server and storage resources and more easily adjust to changing demand.

Oracle VM is a free, state-of-the-art server virtualization and management solution that enables enterprise applications to be easily deployed, managed and supported. Supporting both Oracle and non-Oracle applications, Oracle VM facilitates the deployment and operation of enterprise applications to help reduce operations and support costs while simultaneously increasing IT efficiency and agility.

Chelsio's unified wire adapters are based on its 3rd generation T3 ASIC, which delivers the highest performance and lowest latency in the industry. The drivers for Oracle VM have gone through a qualification process by both Oracle and Chelsio and are included with Oracle VM, helping ensure seamless installation.

"Oracle VM expands our ongoing focus to providing customers with solutions that help lower the cost of their IT infrastructures," said Jeff Doolan, director Linux and Virtualization Channels, Oracle. "Oracle VM delivers the benefits of enterprise-class server virtualization with leading price-performance. Together, Chelsio and Oracle deliver a comprehensive server virtualization solution for our joint customers."

"With the rapid rise of server virtualization, Chelsio continues to lead the way in server and storage connectivity for virtual server environments such as Oracle VM," said Kianoosh Naghshineh, president and CEO of Chelsio Communications. "Our T3 technology enables innovative solutions for administrators to seamlessly manage networking from virtualized machines, while leveraging the performance advantages they've come to expect from Chelsio."

The adapters for Oracle VM are available today from Chelsio and its distribution partners.
