InstallFree Named as a ''Hot Company to Watch in 2008''
Forrester Research Recognizes InstallFree for Innovative Technology Enabling Users to Access Their Personalized Applications

InstallFree announced it has been selected by Forrester Research as one of its “Hot Companies to Watch in 2008.” Dynamic Desktop Computing is an innovative approach that seamlessly delivers applications to end-users across a wide variety of usage scenarios without the need to install software and enables end-users to work anywhere without limitations.

InstallFree launched its first product in April 2008. The company recently completed a financing round of $8.5 million led by Ignition Partners and Trilogy Equity Partners. The funding will be used to expand InstallFree’s presence in North America and Europe as well as to accelerate product development efforts.

According to the June 2008 Forrester report titled Hot Companies to Watch in 2008: Q2 Update, “Forrester believes that virtualization is no longer just an emerging trend — it's the future of the corporate PC. While InstallFree's products are only one incremental innovation in an increasingly competitive virtualization market landscape, the value proposition is compelling. IT managers gain the ability to centrally deploy and manage single applications and reduce application conflicts, while users get greatly improved flexibility with regard to where and how they access their custom applications.”

Christopher Andrews of Forrester Research writes, “In addition, InstallFree addresses two of the largest issues that still inhibit virtualization’s widespread acceptance: It simplifies the client software management and cordons off sensitive applications for security purposes. With products like InstallFree addressing the few remaining barriers to the use of virtualized applications, expect the pace at which applications virtualization becomes adopted to accelerate.”

“InstallFree is honored to be named a “Hot Company to Watch in 2008,” said David Karofsky, Vice President of Marketing for InstallFree. “This recognition further reflects the innovation and differentiation that InstallFree delivers in the competitive application and desktop virtualization marketplace. We are committed to providing the industries best dynamic desktop solutions and look to continually develop innovative technology with measurable benefit to users.”

The “Hot Companies to Watch” list is comprised of companies that are focused on new business models, emerging technologies, and innovation based on the following criteria: 1) whether a company’s products or services provide a technological advantage over existing solutions; 2) whether the products and services are easy to implement; and 3) whether there is a large potential market for the company’s products and services.
