Fortisphere Joins VMware Virtualization Program
Expands Relationship with VMware to Provide Customers with Functionality and Performance Benefits beyond Existing Interfaces

Fortisphere announced that it has joined the VMware Community Source program, a collaborative development initiative designed to accelerate the creation of a rich variety of products that integrate with VMware Infrastructure, the industry-leading datacenter virtualization and management suite.

The VMware Community Source program combines the best elements of open source and enterprise development, allowing partners to advance their level of functionality, enhance interoperability with VMware products and dramatically reduce the time to market virtualization solutions for their customers.

“The VMware Community Source program has created a premier ecosystem focused on developing innovative solutions for VMware environments,” said Michael Harper, president and CEO, Fortisphere. “Our participation in the program provides us with access to technical resources and support that are critical for developing solutions that enhance our Virtual Essentials suite for VMware Infrastructure. As broader adoption of virtualization continues, Fortisphere will work with VMware and its partner ecosystem to develop and deliver integrated, interoperable and innovative solutions for our customers.”

"The collaborative development model provided by the VMware Community Source program enables our partners to deepen their collaboration with us and accelerate our innovation to create differentiated solutions that provide customers with enhanced management of VMware virtualized environments,” said Bernie Mills, senior director of Ecosystem Programs at VMware. “We welcome Fortisphere as a Community Source program member.”
