Kelly Logistics Using webMethods To Streamline Services
End-To-End Integration With webMethods

Leading business integration software company webMethods, announced that Kerry Logistics, one of the leading Third Party Logistics (3PL) service providers in the Asia Pacific region, has selected the webMethods Enterprise Services Platform, a key component of the webMethods Fabric product suite, to enable Kerry's customers to streamline and effectively monitor cargo movement and information across the entire supply chain.

Kerry Logistics will employ webMethods to power its eLogistics Hub solution, providing an end-to-end integration platform for supply chain management including inventory reporting, data warehousing, warehouse management, and improved event visibility and management. Kerry's eLogistics Hub will provide a standard interface for its warehouse and inventory management and track and trace systems, allowing customers to use EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and Web services-based systems for order placement and tracking. By using webMethods, Kerry anticipates its customers will be able to reduce order inefficiencies, better manage inventory levels and improve end-user customer satisfaction levels.

"webMethods Enterprise Services Platform fits perfectly into Kerry's strategy of providing timely, reliable information to our customers, to lower their working capital, and provide a faster response to market," said Wilson Lee, director of IT for Kerry Logistics. "More significantly, webMethods' software will reduce our development cycle, risks and costs, making it easier to integrate our customers' and partners' systems. Moving to this enterprise-class business integration platform increases our customers' confidence to trust their third-party logistics solutions to Kerry."

"With webMethods, Kerry is able to significantly shorten the time needed to offer cutting-edge services for their customers," said Nicholas Tang, webMethods general manager, Greater China. "Furthermore, the service oriented architecture foundation of our platform positions Kerry to take full advantage of the other capabilities of the webMethods Fabric product suite. We are pleased to have them join the roster of companies that are using webMethods to gain greater efficiencies and returns on their IT investments."

webMethods Fabric enables businesses and government agencies to integrate assemble and optimize new and differentiating business processes. Organizations can leverage their existing IT assets to deliver customized, homogeneous views of critical business processes, masking the complexity of the underlying systems. webMethods Fabric extends webMethods' market-leading, standards-based integration solutions with the introduction of Smart Services and Smart Processes, which infuse these new customized processes with the real-time intelligence required to achieve tangible business results.
