Applix Establishes TM1 Center
New Support Organization to Provide Application Guidance and Best Practices For TM1 Customers and Partners

Applix, Inc. (NASDAQ:APLX) , a global provider of single platform solutions for Business Performance Management (BPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced the formation of the TM1 Center of Excellence, a global resource to provide Applix customers and partners best practice guidance throughout the application lifecycle.

TM1 is used by more than 1,900 businesses worldwide for more accurate and efficient financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. With a variety of front ends such as Microsoft Excel and the Web, TM1 provides a single view of financials and advanced capabilities for ad hoc reporting.

"It is crucial that business applications meet design goals and deliver the expected ROI," said David Mahoney, president and CEO of Applix. "TM1 is the platform of choice for planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial consolidations/reporting applications, and the Center of Excellence will help Applix customers and partners to successfully deploy their TM1 applications or improve upon those already implemented."

Ken Wolf, president and CEO of Revelwood, an Applix partner, said, "Given the wide spectrum of application types, vertical industries, and varying levels of skill and knowledge within the TM1 community, we know that the Center of Excellence will be a valuable resource to all Applix customers and partners by acting as a focal point for TM1 best practices and knowledge sharing and by influencing Applix product strategy to address real-world needs."

Most of the Center of Excellence information products will be available electronically through the Applix Web site and will include manuals and how-to guides, computer-based training, demonstration videos, code samples and application templates.
