Joe Ottinger Named as J2EE Editor

(May 29, 2003) - I am pleased to announce Joseph Ottinger as our new J2EE editor for Java Developer's Journal. Joe is no stranger to JDJ, having penned a number of guest editorials for us in the previous year.

Joseph Ottinger is a consultant with Fusion Alliance (www.fusionalliance.com) and is a frequent contributor to open source projects in a number of capacities. Joe is also the acting chairman of the JDJ Editorial Advisory Board.

Joe takes over from Ajit Sagar, who will be remaining as contributing editor. Ajit has successfully navigated the J2EE section from its initial conception two years ago to a powerful resource for all J2EE related technical content. We will be sorry to lose Ajit from this role, but we're thankful he's staying around. Ajit commented that he was "glad [Joe] was going to carry the baton forward." Ajit stepped down due to a continuing tight time constraint.

I am looking forward to working with Joe on this. He is a wonderful character who isn't afraid of speaking his mind. He will be a great asset to JDJ and I am proud to have on the team.
