New Quest Products Accelerate Resolution of J2EE Performance Issues
New Quest Products Accelerate Resolution of J2EE Performance Issues

(May 15, 2003) - Quest Software, Inc.'s newly released PerformaSure™ 2.1 introduces integration with Quest's Foglight® application monitoring product. The latest release of PerformaSure features dual-mode agent technology that enables a Foglight alert to automatically trigger deeper J2EE-centric diagnostics. This updated solution joins Foglight and JProbe as components of the newly launched Quest Central™ for J2EE, a fully integrated set of tools that speeds the detection, diagnosis and resolution of business-threatening performance issues.

Quest Central for J2EE enables all the stakeholders in application performance management to address performance at every stage of the application lifecycle. Foglight allows the administrator to monitor a complex and distributed application environment around the clock. When an alarm is raised, Foglight triggers a PerformaSure recording, allowing production staff to take action through the "power diagnostics" phase of the repair cycle. PerformaSure's Tag and Follow technology reconstructs the execution path of end user transactions, highlighting performance hotspots in a tree view to accelerate root cause diagnosis of unacceptable response times. When the application code is at fault, performance analysts can take advantage of seamless integration with JProbe to drill down to the next level of detail.

PerformaSure 2.1 and Quest Central for J2EE are available now.
