Jinfonet Releases JReport 5
Jinfonet Releases JReport 5

(March 10, 2003) - The latest version of Jinfonet's flagship product, JReport, is now available. The JReport 5 enhancements are essential for enterprises working with mission critical applications. With the release of this new version, JReport now offers the option of running within a clustered environment providing enterprises with reliability and scalability they can count on.

Benchmark results show that JReport 5 has improved performance by as much as 100%. In a clustered environment, multiple servers could be utilized to achieve extremely high throughput. The automatic fail-over feature ensures that the system will continue to function and deliver reports under any single point of failure. Along with the enhanced performance, JReport now offers the scalability and the protection against lost data required for enterprise mission critical applications.

In addition to the clustering option and performance upgrades, JReport now provides even tighter and seamless integration with enterprise systems. For example, connection pools can now be shared with web application servers like WebLogic, greatly enhancing system performance. Jinfonet Software also offers APIs to AS400, WebSphere, Oracle 9i, Tomcat, iPlanet, and JBoss.

Jinfonet has provided a free trial copy of the upgraded JReport on their company website for interested parties who wish to evaluate the advances at no charge.
