ReportMill 6 Builds on Java Application Reporting Success

(February 14, 2003) - ReportMill Software, Inc. calls its new release, ReportMill 6, "the most powerful Java application reporting tool available". The new version introduces new XML-based design features, new Crosstab style display options, significant performance improvements and many other features. ReportMill is the only developer tool in the world providing dynamic PDF and Flash Web pages and reports for Java Web applications. ReportMill runs on all major platforms with support for all Java-based Web application servers and servlets, including those from BEA, IBM, Oracle, Sun, and Apple.

Recognizing that the average Web experience is now much richer than what HTML offers, ReportMill provides a developer tool to quickly design pages that are either paginated, printable and archivable (PDF) or interactive, animated and scrollable (Flash). Either format is generated on the fly from the same template - and all documents are portable, fully WYSIWYG, self-contained and viewable internationally with any browser.

ReportMill also recognizes that Java applications have unique reporting needs. ReportMill binds directly with any available Java dataset or Java Beans, requiring no additional wiring or glue-code, preserving and leveraging the developer's investment in business logic and eliminating the need to repackage or refetch data.

A fully functional evaluation version of the product is available at reportmill.com/Webstart. List pricing for ReportMill 6 starts at $495 per developer and $4,995 for a single processor deployment license. Volume pricing applies.
