New Version of Borland J2EE Application Server Increases Speed and Performance

(January 24, 2003) - Borland Enterprise Server 5.2, the latest release of the high-performance deployment solution, is available now, and offers even greater price/performance advantages than previous versions. Global 1000 companies spanning a wide variety of industries are already running operations and business support systems, securities trading applications, and enterprise resource planning systems on Borland Enterprise Server 5.2. The new features in Borland Enterprise Server 5.2 focus on improving developer productivity and application performance. Enhanced integration with Borland JBuilder 8 accelerates development and deployment cycles. Support for the new Java Development Kit 1.4.1 improves Java application scalability and performance. Support for IPv6 specification enables deployment on next-generation TCP/IP networks. In the 5.2 version, native messaging support eases integration with non-CORBA applications. The new version's enhanced access and reporting of process utilization assists developers and IT managers in optimizing application performance.

Borland Enterprise Server 5.2 is now available for Windows, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux platforms. There are three editions: the Web Edition, the VisiBroker Edition, and the AppServer Edition.
