Oracle Makes Award-Winning Java Development Tool Available To Apple Developers

(January 14, 2003) - Oracle Corp. has announced immediate, free availability of Oracle9i JDeveloper version 9.0.3 to developers who are using the latest version of Apple Computer's UNIX-based operating system. Now, Java developers using Mac OS 10.2.2 and creating J2EE applications and Web services will benefit from the unique productivity features of Oracle's IDE. There have been more than 360,000 downloads of Oracle9i JDeveloper since its introduction to the marketplace in August 2001 and the developer's release for Mac OS 10.2.2 is now available for free download and evaluation to all registered Oracle Technology Network (OTN) members. With integrated Java, XML and SQL support, Oracle9i JDeveloper version 9.0.3 makes it easier for Mac developers to build J2EE and Web services applications. Oracle9i JDeveloper version 9.0.3's built-in J2EE container allows Mac developers to test and debug their applications directly from the IDE and focus on defining their application business logic without having to install any additional software.
