CodeWarrior Wireless Studio to Support New MIDP 2.0 Standard

(December 3, 2002) - Metrowerks plans to support the JCP's recently published J2ME Mobile Information Device Profile 2.0 across its family of products and services. Metrowerks CodeWarrior Wireless Studio 7, which supports virtually every J2ME handset, personal digital assistant, and SDK in the market, will enable developers to create applications utilizing the new specification for wireless devices based on Java technology.

The download, available now at www.wireless-studio.com, allows CodeWarrior Wireless Studio developers to work with Sun's Wireless Toolkit 2.0 beta 1, a MIDP 2.0 emulator and development kit recently published by Sun Microsystems. The company plans to release an update to the software in the near future, which will integrate the new specification into the product's code completion dictionaries.
