Zeosoft Enables Data and Process Sharing Between BEA WebLogic Server and Mobile Devices

(March 25, 2002) - Zeosoft, a mobile software infrastructure company defining and leading the market of on-demand mobile server networks, announced that the ZeoSphere® Server is integrated with BEA Systems Inc. WebLogic Server™.

The integration with WebLogic allows Java-based applications to wirelessly communicate directly with the ZeoSphere Server running on mobile devices.

The integration makes Enterprise Java Beans from a WebLogic application accessible to ZeoSphere Server by using the ZeoSphere Enterprise Proxy. This enables a business to share data and processes bidirectionally with its mobile workforce. Mobile and enterprise workers can directly invoke processes on mobile devices and enterprise systems, anytime-anywhere. Devices enabled with ZeoSphere also can communicate device-to-device regardless of a connection to the enterprise achieving true peer-to-peer computing.

ZeoSphere Server, the first lightweight, Java-based application server for mobile devices, allows bidirectional data queries and application requests using a wireless LAN or cellular network. Organizations and software developers looking to extend enterprise applications to mobile workers will benefit from ZeoSphere Server, which resides directly on the mobile device.

The ZeoSphere mobile platform utilizes a suite of integrated products that leverage existing technology infrastructure investments with its open standards architecture. Zeosoft continues to broaden its support for multiple operating systems and value-added embedded technologies. ZeoSphere Server, currently in beta version with plans for a general availability market launch at the end of Q1 2002, supports operating systems for SavaJe XE, Symbian OS, and Windows CE.

Zeosoft is in the process of porting ZeoSphere to Linux and has plans to port to Palm's OS version 5.0 projected to be on the market sometime this summer. For additional information, see www.zeosoft.com and www.bea.com.
