Cloud Computing, Big Data / Analytics, IoT, DevOps and More!
If you could attend a big technology event in Silicon Valley that features the best of Cloud Computing, Big Data & Analytics, and the Internet of Things, would you be interested?
What if there were a DevOps Summit to go along with it?
And maybe some WebRTC thrown in for good measure?
That's what we're putting together for @CloudExpo & @ThingsExpo November 4-6 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA. I have the honor of serving as Conference Chair, with Chris Matthieu (pictured) serving as our Technical Chair.
We'll also have a Multi-Cloud Bootcamp (see note below) and a Cloud Computing Power Panel to be led by Ashar Baig of Gigaom.
Let's start with the IoT. We launched the first @ThingsExpo as a co-located event with @CloudExpo this year, in New York in June, with a single full track. We had, no kidding, standing-room only at all IoT sessions for three days, until 7pm the last day.
In Santa Clara, we've increased the IoT tracks to three: Consumer IoT, Enterprise IoT, and IoT Developer. The third track also includes our WebRTC Summit sessions.
Featured speakers on the IoT tracks include: Scott Jenson (pictured) and his magic IoT beacons from Google (with a BOF session as well), Mac Devine and James Kobielus of IBM, Andrew Bolwell of HP, Chris Gray of Red Hat, Peter Vanderminden of Microsoft, Chris Matthieu of Octoblu, Davi Ottenheimer of EMC, Brendan O'Brien of Aria Systems, Chris McFarlane of LiveOps, WebRTC guru Peter Dunkley of Acision, and Cloudonomics founder Joe Weinman.
We're also devoting a full track to Big Data & Analytics at the show. Among the speakers on this track are Cory Isaacson of CodeFutures, Harold Hannon of IBM/SoftLayer, Aaron Beach of SendGrid, and Greg Bruno of StackIQ.
Then there's the Cloud. The roots of this show have grown stronger than ever, with four separate tracks on issues relating specifically to Enterprise Cloud Adoption, APM & Cloud Computing, Cloud APIs, and Cloud Security & Mobility.
A sampling of speakers on these tracks includes Mark Hinkle of Citrix, Marten Mickos (pictured) of Eucalyptus, Rishi Bhargava of Intel, Animesh Singh of IBM, Amar Kapadia of Seagate, Simone Brunozzi of VMware, and Ralf Jacob of Verizon.
The Third @DevOpsSummit will feature presentations by chairs Andi Mann and Alan Shimel, as well as presentations from Jerome Petazzoni of Docker, Sanjeev Sharma of IBM, Rajat Bhargava of JumpCloud, Krishnan Subramanian and Gordon Haff of Red Hat, and Anne Hungate of DirectTV.
The @DevOpsSummit keynote will be presented by Victoria Livschitz of Qubell.
Multi-Cloud Bootcamp note: We are also holding the Multi-Cloud Bootcamp, with a separate admission, on November 4-5.
Led by world-class, cross-certified instructor Janakiram MSV from Hyderabad, India, the Bootcamp will take participants through a rigorous tutorial on AWS, GCE, and Microsoft Azure. Janakiram reports to us that he'll also be including content about how to integrate Docker and Linux Containers into these major cloud platforms.
More to come. We'll be posting the full schedule soon. We will be announcing our final speakers, special guests, and a few surprises in these final weeks before the event.
We'll also have the world's largest Cloud/BigData/IoT exhibition floor for all three days.
We hope to see all of you in Santa Clara.
