Opteron & Athlon64 'Aging': Wall Street
AMD is also, as everyone knows, late in moving to 65nm

Opteron and the Athlon64 are "aging" architectures according to Nollenberger Capital analyst Hans Mosesmann and Intel's Core 2 Duo eats its lunch in 95% of all PC applications. AMD is also, as everyone knows, late in moving to 65nm.

He pretty much chokes on AMD's claim last week that it can achieve twice the market's 10% growth next year and thinks it's smoke doping when it contends it can maintain market share in ATI's graphics processors.

Meanwhile, American Technology Research cut its price targets on the stock, saying the company was having a tough quarter both on the demand side and on mix - thanks to Dell -crediting Intel's new products with having an impact, reversing share losses. AMD is cutting prices, it said. It looks like it's losing notebook and server wins to Intel
