TIBCO Customer Takes First Place in 2006 Process Innovation Awards
It Drives Greater Efficiencies In Clinical, Business And Financial Processes Across the Organization

TIBCO Software, a business integration and process management software company that enables real-time business, has announced that its customer, Geisinger Health System, has won a first place award in the 2006 Process Innovation Awards for its use of TIBCO’s business process management (BPM) software, TIBCO iProcess Suite, to drive greater efficiencies in clinical, business and financial processes across its organization. Created by Kinetic Information in 1996 to honor superior applications for their business effectiveness, and co-sponsored by IMERGE Consulting, the program presents Innovative Solution Awards to organizations that have implemented applications that are returning significant business benefit.

In addition to taking first place honors in the Innovative Solution Awards, Geisinger Health was also recognized as a second place winner for the prestigious "Vision Award" – an additional award presented by Kinetic Information and IMERGE Consulting that honors the technology initiative that exhibits the greatest potential for transforming a business or social process.

"TIBCO iProcess Suite has enabled us to realize significant process improvements across multiple areas of our organization – from patient safety and records management to customer service and financials,” says David Partsch, Program Director, Enterprise Imaging and Content Management for Geisinger Health System. “We are thrilled to be recognized not only for our innovative use of this solution to drive efficiency and service gains, but also for our vision in laying a foundation that will support cross-enterprise process excellence."

Geisinger Health System is a physician-led health care system in northeastern Pennsylvania providing health care, education and research services spanning 42 counties, 20,000 square miles and 2.5 million people. By leveraging TIBCO iProcess Suite to streamline and automate critical organizational processes, Geisinger has greatly enhanced performance in three key areas: clinical document management, customer service and support and accounts payable. The company has seen significant cost savings as well as improved access to important medical records across the organization, realized better and faster customer service, and has enabled seamless compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.

Innovation Solution Award winners were selected based their ability to leverage cutting-edge technologies to realize process improvements and gains in the following areas: productivity, profitability, ability to adapt to market conditions, and competitive standing/market share.

"We congratulate our customer on winning these awards and are pleased that TIBCO iProcess Suite delivered the capabilities and scalability that were needed to support processes across multiple systems, people and departments," said Ram Menon, executive vice president, Worldwide Marketing at TIBCO. "The gains that Geisinger Health System has achieved underscore the power of BPM to align business with IT to truly transform performance."

TIBCO iProcess Suite is a suite of application modules built on an open architecture that is designed to provide a comprehensive business process management solution. With some of the largest deployments in the world, TIBCO iProcess Suite offers a proven solution that enables organizations to streamline the internal and external processes and tasks that span and make up their business.
