Sybase Demos Technology at EclipseCon 2006
WorkSpace to be Prominently Featured

Sybase will have a key presence at EclipseCon 2006, March 20-23 in Santa Clara, Calif., the company reports. Sybase will demonstrate Sybase WorkSpace, a unified Eclipse-based application development environment. Along with other industry leaders Sybase will offer six developer oriented tutorials, focusing on real life application needs — topics include building JavaServer Faces applications, Data Tools Platform tutorials, and recounting real-world experiences with developing Eclipse user assistance. Details for each session are listed below.

"Sybase is committed to supporting the Data Tools Platform (DTP) and Eclipse as a common framework, said Karen Frederiksen, director of Data Tools for Sybase. “We have speakers and demonstrations at the conference that will communicate the ease of enabling real-world development across all platforms in an open environment for modeling, service oriented applications, data tooling and mobilization."

Sybase is a board member of the Eclipse Foundation and leads the Eclipse Data Tools Platform (DTP) project as well as co-leads Service Tooling Project (STP). As a Strategic Developer Member of the Eclipse Organization, and an Eclipse Steward since 2002, Sybase is well positioned to make significant contributions to the Eclipse community by furthering the development and delivery of open source development tooling.
