Lotus Notes E-Mail Archiving and E-Discovery
Unify Corp. announced that it has signed a strategic global reseller agreement with GROUP Business Software AG

Unify Corp. announced that it has signed a strategic global reseller agreement with GROUP Business Software AG .

Under the terms of the agreement, GROUP will resell Unify’s market leading content archiving and e-discovery solutions for Lotus Notes to its more than 2,500 global customers as well as into the Lotus Notes market worldwide. Unify’s AXS-Link for Lotus Notes software (which it recently acquired from AXS-One), is considered the premier and dominant enterprise-class archiving solution for the IBM Lotus Notes and Domino community. As a result of this agreement, GROUP will significantly expand its current offering and geographic reach with the addition of an e-mail archiving, retention management and legal discovery solution that is integrated with its e-mail management offerings.

In addition, Unify will resell GROUP’s extensive e-mail management portfolio (iQ Suite), expanding its e-mail archiving offering to address a broader set of requirements for messaging collaboration, including anti spam, anti virus, process management, and encryption. With more than six million users, GROUP’s iQ Suite is the industry standard for e-mail lifecycle management for IBM Lotus Notes/Domino.

“The addition of Unify’s world-class Lotus Notes archiving solution into our portfolio further enables us to extend our current Lotus software application expansion strategy, ensuring we can deliver compelling, robust efficient solutions to our customers,” said Jörg Ott, GROUP’s CEO and chairman. “The management and archiving of Lotus Notes e-mail is a growing burden for our customers and, until now, a largely untapped opportunity for GROUP. Today’s announcement is synergistic with every aspect of our corporate and product strategy given Unify’s market leading Lotus Notes e-mail archiving and e-discovery software, and GROUP’s domain expertise and focus on messaging and collaboration.”

“GROUP’s established customer base and recognition in the Lotus Notes community, as well as its focus on messaging and collaboration, offer Unify a unique opportunity to significantly expand our market presence and sales delivery capabilities,” said Todd Wille, CEO of Unify. “We identified GROUP as the key strategic partnership we needed to expand our global presence and deliver even more value for the IBM Lotus and Domino community. Today’s announcement is a major achievement in our strategy to leverage our recent AXS-One acquisition and increase shareholder value.”
